If you are moving to the Costa del Sol and weighing up a British or a Spanish education for your child, Laude San Pedro International College is one of the few schools in Marbella that lets you choose either — and change your mind — without changing school. Founded in 2004 in San Pedro de Alcántara and part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) since 2014, it educates more than 720 students from over 50 nationalities on a single purpose-built campus between the Mediterranean and the mountains. The school runs two distinct curricula. The British pathway follows the English National Curriculum through Early Years (from age 2.5), Primary and Secondary, leading to IGCSEs and then AS and A Levels in Sixth Form. From secondary onwards families may instead choose the Spanish pathway, studying ESO and Bachillerato with preparation for the EVaU/PAU university entrance examinations. Teaching is guided by the school's Learning.First™ and visible-learning approach, in which progress is made explicit through reflection, assessment and collaboration. Academic outcomes are published in detail. At A Level the school reports a 96% pass rate, with 23% of entries graded A*–A and 67% A*–C; at (I)GCSE, 32% of entries reach grades 9–7 and 83% grades 9–4; and the Spanish pathway records a 100% EVaU pass rate. Ninety-six per cent of leavers gain admission to their first-choice university in Spain or abroad, with destinations including Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group universities as well as the University of Bath, Lancaster University and Erasmus University Rotterdam. University and careers guidance runs through a dedicated Future Pathways programme supported by the Unifrog platform, weekly application coaching and university fairs. Languages are central. English and Spanish are taught from Early Years, with French, German or Mandarin added in Primary and carried through to IGCSE and A Level; more than 42 languages are spoken across the community. Children who arrive with developing English are supported through the Mastering English Pathway (MEP), so a place does not depend on arriving fluent. Beyond the classroom, the ISP Life Competencies Framework — supported by Camtree, part of Hughes Hall at the University of Cambridge — the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and ISP's ILO programmes (Model United Nations, ISP Scientists, ISP Filmmakers, Cultural and Virtual Exchange) give students leadership, service and intercultural experience. The campus is genuinely specialist rather than generic: separate chemistry, biology and physics laboratories with a shared prep room, STEAM labs, four IT rooms, a multimedia and graphic design suite, food technology labs with professional kitchens, a library, a theatre, a radio studio, a gym and football field, multi-sport courts and an outdoor pool. Wellbeing, pastoral care and a clear safeguarding policy sit alongside academics as stated commitments, and the school is accredited by the Spanish Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional, NABSS, ACADE, AQA, Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge English. It appears in the Forbes Top 100 Schools in Spain and the MiCole 2026 ranking.

Admissions follow a published six-step journey. 1) Contact the admissions team to book a campus visit or, if you are still living abroad, a virtual call, and submit the online admissions form with academic transcripts, ID or passport and photographs. 2) Attend a school tour or virtual tour, where the team reviews the curriculum, shows the facilities and discusses your child's interests and needs. 3) The school reviews previous school reports and, where appropriate, arranges a placement assessment; your child may also be invited to a taster day. 4) The admissions and academic teams review academic history, assessment results and interviews to confirm the best fit. 5) Successful applicants receive a written offer, with the place typically held for three to five days while registration is completed. 6) Before the first day, families receive joining information covering uniform, the school calendar, fees and FAQs. Entry is possible into both the British and Spanish pathways, and students joining with developing English are supported through the Mastering English Pathway.
